It is worth mentioning that technical spceifications of LCD panels are slightly misleading. Note that all technical specifications for LCD panels are true only in pitch black room, and performance in real life is consequently lower, because ambient light will reflect from screen decreasing difference between whitest and darkest pixels. This is especially true if we are talking about direct exposure to solar radiation with its visible light reflecting directly from screen. Full moon night white illumination is 0,15 nit while noon day time illumination is mind boggling 96.000 nits, that being without objects in vicinity reflecting some more luminance into screens. No need to say high brightness and contrast performance with quality anti reflective glass treatment allowing as much as possible of visible light passing trough quality glass treatment reflecting as least as possible of visible light to deliver nicely readable images troughout the day. All the measurements for tech specs are done in best conditions of 25 - 2°C and humidity level of 55 - 20 %, and normal operation is considered in max range known for high bright professional LCD panel of 0°C-40°C.
And here steps in another essential element of outdoor systems, temperature control. Any integrated LCD panel in outdoor LCD system preferably produces output as close to its optimal capacity as possible. After all, panel performance in outdoor is never really ?good enough?. That is a reason why projection of images will vary greatly from system to system even if they have integrated same specification LCD panels. Only real comparison can be done with head to head real life operation test.
3, Before you decide to buy Outdoor LCD Display, please answer us following several question firstly.
1) what's your requirements on screen brightness? This point refer to our cost, it is very important.What's the brightness for lcd screen you prefer ? Normal indoor digital signage you bought from us is only 350nits, However, for Outdoor Application, The screen usually require 800nits ~1500nits high brightness so that people can read clearly in sunlight. According to your actual application condition, Full outdoor or Semi-outdoor condition, we advise that you pick up 800nits ~ 1000nits or 1500nits.
2) When you require a high brightness for screen, we need consider cooling problem, If you only need 800nits for screen, we can put Fan inside for machine cooling, If you only need 1500nits for screen, we have to put intelligent air condition inside for cooling and heating.
3) If you really need outdoor application, we need use AR bonding TM glass with anti-glare and insulate 99.3% UV for screen surface.
4) Besides, The high brightness screen will consume plenty of electrical energy, we will install Ambient light sensor for auto dimming some to save energy efficiently when outdoor environment is dark. when the outdoor environment is very bright, I mean the noon, the screen would auto brighten so that the screen can be read clearly in sunlight.
